Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) : Brief Overview
CGPSC conducts recruitment for Group-A & Group-B gazetted posts in the Government of Chhattisgarh through a three-stage examination process.
1️⃣ CGPSC Preliminary Examination (Prelims)
Nature: Screening / Qualifying
Purpose: Selection for Mains
Papers: 2 (Objective type)
Paper-I: General Studies (Chhattisgarh + India)
Paper-II: Aptitude Test (CSAT – Qualifying)
Marks:
Paper-I: 200 marks (Counted for cutoff)
Paper-II: 200 marks (Qualifying – minimum 33%)
Negative Marking: Yes
Outcome: Shortlisting candidates for Mains
2️⃣ CGPSC Main Examination (Mains)
Nature: Merit-deciding (Written)
Purpose: Evaluation of depth, analysis & expression
Papers: 7 (Descriptive)
